Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology (AMST) is a new program being developed at Madison College to develop new talent for automated and advanced manufacturing technologies. Graduates of this Associate Degree program would work with engineers, developing, designing, testing, implementing and installing automated systems and technologies, such as Robotics, PLCs and Vision Systems.

The 2011 show attracted nearly 8000 attendees from 28 countries and 45 states, with a large concentration from the Midwest. This year's expectations are even higher. Don't miss out!
For current students, we are planning a trip to the show on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013. We will have a charter bus from Madison to the show. Details to follow. Please let Peter know if you are interested in going. There is no cost. All fees and bus trip are covered.

It's official, our new program has been approved.....
Hello,
We are very excited to share with you today that our new program, Automated Manufacturing System Technology (or AMST for short) has been approved by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
We are finalizing our course details and program sheets. We expect to be able to share them with you by the end of January 2013.
Students should be able to enroll by February 2013. Please share the good news with friends, colleagues, and business partners.

Meet RoBET...
....our Blackjack dealing FANUC robot. We are at the Alliant Energy center in Madison celebrating 100years of Madison Area Technical College.
This robot was programmed by Madison College students, with assistance from Fanuc Robotics, Big Sky Engineering, Isthmus Engineering, Braas Co and Keyence Corp.

AMST information and current offerings.....
We are developing the 2-year Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology associate degree program at Madison College. Program start is set for fall 2013. Enrollment is scheduled to open in April 2013.
During the development phase we are offering two certificates. Courses from these certificates will transfer into the program.

Most of the courses listed in the certificates are currently offered for free through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant at Madison College.
